Kawasaki Ninja 1000 isn't quite in a conference of its own, but the only otherwise open-class sportbikes currently sold that proffer pianoforte ergos and and whatsoever icon of a fairing are the Honda VFR1200F or Yamaha FZ1. This trinity is bookended by blooded sportbikes on one root and heavyweight sport-touring machines on the remaining. Kawi had one eye on the sport-touring activity when it redesigned the Ninja, action it aft to bedrock with a lightweight approach: A new subframe and a tailsection are fashioned to cleanly reconcile the optional 29-liter saddlebags, which, when removed with quick-release instrumentation, going a clutter-free appearing.
